Craft Ale is on the Up…
So we like think we’re a bit of a foodie gastropub at The Chequers, which we are! We serve only the best stuff – food, wine, gin, beer and ale. We like to serve, not only the best, but as local as possible and sometimes something a little different.
We like to keep an eye on the trends in the food and drink world, and have recently noticed that craft ale is having a bit of a moment. Jordan, Manager of The Chequers explains a little more.
“Real and Craft Ale is booming! Microbreweries are popping up all over the place and you’ll see lots of these beers popping up on our guest taps this month. From Red Squirrell Brewery in Herts to Long Dog in Basingstoke. You’re always welcome to a taste before taking the plunge, but one thing is for definite, we will make sure it is bright and well-conditioned. We have Cask Marque and we are proud of it!”
Have you tried one of our real craft ales? You really should! We have plenty on offer, why not pop down to the pub to sample some. If you like what you taste then go one step further and order a pint or two. Go on spoil yourself, dry January has finished after all and you may even find a new favourite tipple!
