Chequers fest brings everyone together
It was great to see so many familiar faces at the Chequers Fest recently – what a great weekend it was!
We were thrilled that so many friends old and new made it along to join in the two day celebration of food, drink and music and had a brilliant time, in spite of the great British weather!
Eversley’s only village festival featured a fabulous local produce market stocked with cheeses, chutneys and cakes which proved a tasty distraction with plenty of samples on offer.
There were cheese and seafood tastings to enjoy as well as the chance to try sausage making and fairy cake decorating, all of which were a big hit with young foodies and families. We’re still clearing up the glitter and sprinkles now…
There was music and dancing with Champagne at The Blitz and home-grown talent the Eversley Brothers as the sun slipped down and it was time for a refreshing beverage or two, and then a second helping on the Sunday. 
Even the rain couldn’t dampen the party atmosphere with more great live music from Tony Bowen, James Dean and his band and the Eversley Brothers back for more.
Thankfully the beer tent which had some cracking local beers and ciders on tap provided the perfect excuse to dodge the rain! Brews from Hogs Back, Andwells and the West Berkshire Brewery went down a treat.
Whilst the BBQ was sizzling, there was more live music from Tony Bowen, James Dean and his band, Kenny and the Eversley Brothers on the Sunday and everyone danced until late!
